A month-long investigation following a deadly shooting in Del City has culminated in the arrest of 53-year-old Derrick Leron Jordan. On November 9, Tony Donnell Ganther, aged 43, was discovered with a fatal gunshot wound at Rag City Customs close to the intersection of Delwood Drive and Westside Drive. Del City police have confirmed that Jordan was apprehended in Muskogee County on Friday, as reported by KFOR.
Earlier this month, Jordan was detained in Wichita for failing to swiftly register as a sex offender in Muskogee County. Following this, Del City police took custody of Jordan on first-degree murder, robbery, and possession of a firearm after a former felony conviction charges, according to details shared by KOCO.
He was already incarcerated in Muskogee County Jail on unrelated charges when he was re-arrested on Friday. Presently, Jordan finds himself at the Oklahoma County Detention Center, where he is being held on a $10 million bond, as detailed by News9.
The case against Jordan continues to develop as information is gathered from the crime scene and additional charges are filed against him.
