A young Boca Raton man's life was cut short following a high-speed crash involving his motorcycle and a minivan this past weekend. Boca News Now reports that the incident occurred on Saturday evening near the intersection of U.S. 441 and Palmetto Park Road. The deceased has been identified as 25-year-old Brendan Brito.

Per the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, Brito was traveling northbound at a high rate of speed in the 22100 block of U.S. 441/S.R. 7, when Elizabeth Sena, the driver of a Toyota Sienna minivan, was turning left into a shopping plaza. Driven by Brito at a high rate of speed, the Kawasaki motorcycle he was riding impacted the Toyota's front passenger fender. The collision sent the motorcycle spinning counter-clockwise, coming to rest uncontrolled in the northbound lane, as detailed in a statement obtained by Boca Daily News.

Sadly, Brito was ejected from the motorcycle and was found beneath the Toyota; he was pronounced dead at the scene. The minivan's driver, Ms. Sena, sustained minor injuries from this collision and was transported to Delray Medical Center. The Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office indicated that neither alcohol nor drugs were considered a factor in the crash, and no charges have been filed at this time.
