The Kilby Block Party, Utah's premier indie music fest, is slated to amplify its offering to a four-day extravaganza from May 15 – 18, 2025, at the Utah State Fairpark. As reported by ABC4, the festival has undergone quite a transformation since its inception in 2019, ramping up from a neighborhood event to a sprawling celebration of musical diversity that now beckons thousands to flock from across the nation.
With over 70 artists set to take the stage, the lineup boasts such iconic acts as New Order, Beach House, Weezer, and Justice, each headlining one day of what promises to be an unforgettable weekend. As stated by The Salt Lake Tribune, New Order is to kick off the festival on Thursday, followed by Beach House on Friday, Weezer on Saturday, and the electronic duo Justice to close out the event on Sunday. This year marks a milestone for Weezer, whose album turned 30 earlier this year, to much acclaim and nostalgia for hits like "Buddy Holly" and "Say It Ain't So".
True to the growing demand, the fest is optimally set to utilize more space at the Fairpark, introducing the Days of '47 Arena as a new, additional stage for the first time next spring. According to KSL, this expansion is not just about adding more music, it's also about enhancing festival-goer experiences with more water stations and spots to either chill or vigorously dance to the beat.
Tickets for Kilby Block Party 6 are set to go on sale at 10 a.m. Wednesday, with a full list of performers available on the festival's website. Organizers are now also ready to offer travel packages for those making the pilgrimage from out of state, highlighting both hotel and transportation options, a testament to how the event has evolved from a one-day celebration to a significant cultural gathering.
