A tragic hit and run accident has claimed the life of a young Nashville man, tentatively identified as a 22-year-old local. The incident occurred on Saturday evening at approximately 8:10 p.m. near the intersection of Murfreesboro Pike and McGavock Pike, according to a news release from the Nashville Police Department.
Despite efforts to positively identify him, the victim was declared dead at the scene by the Medical Examiner’s Office, which is still attempting to confirm his identity. Running briefly after the crash, the suspect was reported driving an unknown model silver Nissan that fled the area immediately following the fatal encounter, as reported by the Nashville Police Department.
