
Early this morning, a young man was injured in a shooting incident in the streets of St. Louis. According to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, at approximately 3:30 a.m., officers from District 5 were dispatched to the 2700 block of Cora, where they discovered a 20-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his leg.
The victim, whose name has not been released, recounted to officers; he was reportedly at a friend's house, located on an unspecified address on Ashland, when an unidentified individual arrived. Following a confrontation for reasons still unclear, this person shot the 20-year-old in the leg. The wounded man then managed to run away, seeking safety from his assailant's violent tempest.
Emergency services quickly responded, taking the victim to a nearby hospital where he is now in stable condition. The investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
