A 17-year-old male juvenile has been arrested and charged with aggravated vehicular hijacking and armed robbery, according to a release from the Chicago Police Department (CPD). The juvenile, whose identity has not been disclosed due to his age, is accused of robbing a 27-year-old man at gunpoint and subsequently hijacking the victim's vehicle.
The incident is reported to have occurred on October 21, 2024, in the 2500 block of W. 64th St. It wasn't until Tuesday that the suspect was placed into custody. The CPD stated that the juvenile was positively identified as the offender who robbed a 27-year-old male of his personal belongings and took his vehicle at gunpoint. No additional information has yet to be released pending further investigation by the authorities.
