
On Tuesday night at 9:08 p.m., 66-year-old Luis Zamora Gonzalez was fatally struck while crossing Broadway in Lawrence, near the McDonald's at 50 Broadway. He was hit by a 2014 Buick Enclave and a 2018 Infiniti QX30. The Essex County District Attorney's office confirmed the incident and the response from local authorities, according to the Office of Essex County District.
Emergency responders from the Lawrence Police, Fire Department, and medical teams arrived at the scene and pronounced Gonzalez dead. The incident is under investigation by the Lawrence Police, Massachusetts State Police, and the Essex County District Attorney's Office, with oversight from the Chief Medical Examiner, as reported by the Office of Essex County District.
Essex County District Attorney Paul F. Tucker offered his condolences, saying, "Our sincere condolences are with the family of Luis Zamora Gonzalez." He added, "We hope that they may find strength in community during this very difficult time."
