
A 73-year-old man died after being hit by a vehicle in Falmouth last Sunday evening at the intersection of Gifford Street and Dillingham Avenue. His identity has not been released, according to NBC Boston.
The Cape Cod Times reported that the collision took place around 6:36 p.m., with the driver staying at the scene and assisting the victim until emergency services arrived. The victim was transported to Falmouth Hospital by Falmouth Fire and Rescue but was later pronounced dead.
The Cape Cod Regional Law Enforcement Council and Barnstable County Sheriff’s Office are investigating a tragic incident, with no charges filed against the driver yet. Though details are still unclear, the community is concerned about pedestrian safety at the intersection, as stated by NBC Boston.
