
Norman Police have apprehended 19-year-old Landon Appleby for his alleged involvement in a string of home invasion burglaries and related crimes. These incidents took place over the past five months around the 12th Avenue and Alameda area, as reported by the Norman Police Department.
Appleby was arrested on Wednesday after attempting a burglary at a residence on the 1600 block of Alameda Street around 1 a.m. He attempted to flee but was apprehended following a brief foot chase and the use of a taser, according to the Norman Police Department.
With 15 attempted or successful break-ins at night, including one sexual assault, Appleby faces charges of First Degree Rape and burglary. Currently in custody at the Cleveland County Detention Center, he is believed to have more victims. The Norman Police Department urges anyone with information to call 405-321-1444 as the investigation continues.
