Tragedy was narrowly avoided, with one offender, a 27-year-old man, sustaining a gunshot wound to the right leg during the robbery. The injured party was subsequently apprehended at the scene and transported in good condition to a hospital, as detailed by ABC7 Chicago. It remains unclear who fired the shot that struck the man, as the Chicago Police Department has confirmed the occurrence was not an officer-involved shooting. Two other suspects involved remain at large, and no other injuries have been related to this event.
