The Atlanta Police Department is actively seeking assistance from the public in locating Bill Harper, a 73-year-old man diagnosed with dementia, who is now reported missing. According to information released by officials, Harper was last seen at his residence on the 800 block of Amber Place NW around noon yesterday. Atlanta News First has highlighted the urgency of the search efforts as temperatures in the region have begun to drop.
Characterized as a "critical missing person," Harper stands at 5-feet-6-inches tall, weighs approximately 167 pounds, is bald, and has brown eyes. In the last interaction, he was seen dressed in a gray jogging suit. This information comes amid concerns due to his known condition and history of wandering off from his home, which adds to the pressing nature of the search, as detailed by FOX 5 Atlanta.
The Atlanta Police Department cautions that due to his condition, Harper's ability to seek assistance or shelter may be impaired. The department has provided a contact avenue for tips and sightings. Those with information are encouraged to immediately call 911 or the Atlanta Police Homicide/Adult Missing Persons Unit at (404) 546-4235.
