Last Sunday, in Reading, Massachusetts, Siereen Alsarabi, 27, from Beverly, was arrested and charged with operating under the influence, negligent operation of a vehicle, and having an open container of alcohol. The Reading Police Department reported the arrest occurred at 1:29 a.m.
Police responded to reports of a disabled vehicle near Haverhill Street and found a silver Ford Explorer in an active lane with its engine running and damage indicating it had struck something. The driver, Alsarabi, appeared confused about her location and had a "strong odor of alcohol." Officers determined she was driving under the influence and arrested her, as reported by the Reading Police Department.
According to the Reading Police Department on their Facebook page, on Tuesday, Alsarabi was arraigned in Woburn District Court after authorities found an open bottle of whiskey in her vehicle. The department shared the information to keep the public informed.
