On Tuesday, Boston Police from the Drug Control Unit arrested 31-year-old Jaline Phillips-Young of Roslindale in Jamaica Plain on firearm and drug charges. He was wanted on an active warrant for Armed Assault with Intent to Murder and was featured on a BRIC wanted flyer, according to the Boston Police Department.
Officers spotted the suspect on Florence Street during a routine surveillance and followed him as he boarded a bus to 3700 Washington Street. After exiting the bus and walking towards the train station, the suspect was arrested. A search revealed a Glock 19 with an obliterated serial number in his waistband, loaded with one round in the chamber and fifteen rounds in a thirty-one round magazine, as stated by the Boston Police Department.
Phillips-Young was arrested after police found 54.7 grams of crack cocaine, a firearm, ammunition, and $699 in cash. He faces several charges, including drug trafficking, illegal firearm possession, and other related offenses. His arraignment is set for West Roxbury District Court, as reported by the Boston Police Department news.
