A tragic occurrence unfolded in Cherokee County as a 62-year-old man from Canton lost his life when a tree unexpectedly fell on his car. The Cherokee County Sheriff's Office reported that the incident happened on Union Hill Road, near Windflower Court, around 2:30 p.m. yesterday, as per FOX 5 Atlanta.
Deputies who arrived at the scene discovered the driver, Phillip Ziegler, trapped in his vehicle. He was swiftly transported to North Fulton Hospital, and despite medical efforts, he succumbed to his injuries after arrival. It was confirmed that Ziegler was the sole occupant of the vehicle during the incident, according to WSB-TV.
