On the evening of January 3, deputies from the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office were summoned to a suspected burglary at a Rivergrove residence on SW Megly Ct, as per the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office. The crime was reported by the out-of-town homeowner, who received an alert that two individuals were alleged to have broken into the home.
Law enforcement officers, including a K9 unit and drone, hurried to the scene, managing to set up a perimeter despite the suspects had likely absconded before their arrival. They were reportedly seen fleeing to a silver or gray SUV driven by a third accomplice on SW Woodcrest Ave, according to information released by the Sheriff's Office.
Surveillance footage showed two suspects partaking in the burglary, both with their faces covered, one clad in a blue sweatshirt and pants and the other in a multicolored jacket and pants. The Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office, bolstered by the Lake Oswego, West Linn, and Tualatin Police Departments, is now soliciting tips from the public to uncover the identities of these suspects.
Residents in the vicinity, notably those along SW Woodcrest Ave, have been asked to review any home surveillance footage that might capture images of the suspects or their vehicle. "Anyone with information about this case is urged to contact the Sheriff’s Office Tip Line,” said Sgt. Ross Clemson, the Public Information Officer, in a statement.
As this investigation continues, the Sheriff’s Office urges those who may have any pertinent information, to reach out via phone at 503-723-4949, or to submit details through their online email form, in hopes to aid in the resolution of this case.
