For those participating in or cheering on runners at the 2025 Life Time Miami Marathon and Half on February 2, Miami-Dade Transit is offering a convenient alternative to driving. Metrorail and Metromover services will begin early, starting at 4 a.m., to ensure smooth access to Downtown Miami for the race festivities, as officially announced on their official website.
Metrorail will begin service early on February 2, with trains departing from Palmetto, Dadeland South, and Miami International Airport starting at 4 a.m. The Dadeland South line will run trains every 15 minutes, while the other two lines will operate every half hour after the initial 4 a.m. departure. For those concerned about parking, the official release confirms that parking garages and lots will be free for the entire day and will open at 4 a.m. as well.
Metromover will also begin service at 4 a.m. on race day, offering a hassle-free way to get to the event. For Metrorail riders, make sure to grab an EASY Card or use contactless payment. You can easily obtain or reload your card through apps like GO Miami-Dade Transit, Token Transit, Citymapper, and others.
