This investment, sourced from the Federal Land and Water Conservation Fund Grant and managed locally by the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation, represents a matched 50% of the total purchase price.
A sizable plot of 70 acres on the west side of McFee Road near Boyd Station Road will be transformed following a property acquisition in 2023. Out of this land, 15 acres count as donated terrain. With a condition stipulating that construction must get underway by 2027, planning is now firmly on the agenda for Farragut's Parks & Recreation Department, which aims to garner extensive input on what features and amenities residents wish to see in their new green space.
