Five men faced felony charges after a raid on a home on Hobson Pike, believed to be connected to a prostitution ring. The operation, involving local, state, and federal law enforcement, resulted in the suspects attempting to flee but being arrested as authorities executed a federal search warrant, according to the Nashville Police Department.
The operation that unfolded this morning at 2334 Hobson Pike found that portions of the home had been altered to create several small rooms, indicative of activities related to prostitution. Evidence gathered included business cards, ledgers, and over a pound of marijuana. One of the involved individuals, Gianfranco Augusto Barazarte-Morales, 31, is not only linked to these activities but is also connected to a non-fatal shooting in September at another suspected brothel, as reported by the Nashville Police Department.
Barazarte-Morales, Felix Rafael Ortega, Elmer Humberto Aparicio-Castillo, Idenis Alexander Sanchez-Paredes, and Wilfredo Jose Mata-Fornerino were arrested on charges of promoting prostitution, marijuana possession, and evading arrest. Ortega also faces a charge for possessing "Tusi," a dangerous drug, while Aparicio-Castillo was found with a semi-automatic pistol, leading to an additional gun possession charge. The arrests follow a months-long investigation by multiple law enforcement agencies, and the case remains ongoing, as stated by the Nashville Police Department.
