Rosie Streker has traded in classroom chalk for cornhole bags, turning her casual interest in the lawn game into elite competition status. After 18 years of shaping young minds at Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune Elementary and Grove Park Elementary in Palm Beach County, Streker has found her second calling on the cornhole pitch, swiftly rising to become one of the top five female competitors in the nation. "I loved it. I love teaching, and I love the kids," Streker told WSVN. Her love for education is now paralleled only by her passion for cornhole, which began after a fateful victory at J.J. Muggs Stadium Grill in Jupiter.

Not far from the classroom where she once vivaciously taught fractions and sentence structure, her competitive streak in cornhole emerged. Traveling with her friend Davis, who she married eventually, Streker began her ascent in the world of competitive sports. In her journey from teaching children the joys of learning to sinking bags in distant holes, Streker found a new form of fulfillment. Davis Streker told WPTV, "To have Rosie as a partner, I couldn't have been more lucky," remarking on her remarkable talent. Davis is not only her spouse but the owner of South Florida Cornhole, which served as Rosie's launching pad into the professional scene.

Rosie Streker isn't just tossing bags for fun; her resume boasts titles such as a three-time world champion and national champion, alongside a team spot representing the USA in cornhole. Despite the individual nature of her travels while touring for games, Streker often has the opportunity to turn competitions into family excursions, bringing along her loved ones to share in the journey.

What began as a casual Sunday tournament has catapulted Streker into a community spread nationwide. While most days she is traveling on her own, these trips have morphed into a family affair, with her husband and kids often joining the road trips. "We've met people from all across the country playing cornhole," Rosie said in a statement obtained by WSVN.
