Authorities reported a white Chevy Tahoe related to the incident, urging anyone with information to step forward. As stated in a WSMV report, the police are specifically searching for a group that was seen exiting the SUV, utilizing a shotgun to kill the goose, and then fleeing the scene.
Witnesses at the Lock 4 access on Old Hickory Lake observed multiple individuals committing the act before leaving in the Chevy Tahoe, the same vehicle identified by the Gallatin Police, who stress the need for assistance from the public in this case. According to FOX 17's coverage of the incident, the department has provided a special line for tips at 615-452-1313 ext. 3201 and has encouraged community members to aid in identifying the accused.
Suspects are yet to be named, but they are described as three individuals involved in the killing of the goose, with police emphasizing the urgency of apprehending them as an act against wildlife offenses.
