Eulises Yobani Rafael-Garcia, a 28-year-old Mexican citizen residing in Gary, Indiana, has been sentenced for the felony charge of illegal re-entry into the United States, according to a statement from the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Northern District of Indiana. Rafael-Garcia, who had been in custody since his arrest on April 5, 2024, has received a sentence equivalent to time already served and faces imminent transfer to Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) for removal proceedings.

He has been removed from the U.S. three times prior and has a misdemeanor illegal entry conviction on his record.
