In an advisory published today, the City of Hollywood has announced a scheduled road closure that will see the northbound left lane from Hollywood Blvd to A1A, including the bridge lane, shut down for crucial infrastructure work. This temporary inconvenience is due to a water main leak at the bottom of the ramp that needs urgent repair.
Starting on Thursday, February 6, at 10 PM, Underground Utilities will commence their repair operations. Fortunately, water service for residents will remain unaffected throughout the roadwork. According to the city's advisory, the work is set to begin in the evening in an effort to minimize traffic disruptions throughout the day.
The city has yet to provide an expected completion date for the repair work, but motorists should be prepared for the affected lane to be out of commission for at least the short-term future. Commuters who regularly traverse this route may want to seek alternative paths or adjust their travel times accordingly. For updates on the traffic situation, residents can visit the City of Hollywood's website.
