Reports of In-N-Out Burger opening in Atlanta have been denied. Social media had suggested the popular West Coast chain would open on Ponce de Leon Avenue, but those rumors have been shut down.

According to FOX 5 Atlanta, In-N-Out has confirmed that the company has no plans as of now to plant a flag in Georgia's soil.  Meanwhile, construction for a Tennessee location is en route in Lebanon, an estimated four-hour trek from Atlanta. This is not the first time false burger alarms have rung in Atlanta. Hoaxers previously floated rumors of the chain's Georgia debut in 2017 and again in 2022. Those supposed Little 5 Points neighborhood and another undisclosed Atlanta location never materialized into actual burger joints.

Channel 2 Action News touched base with In-N-Out's corporate office, where Mike Abbate, Vice President of Store Development, dispelled the rumor mill's output. “Unfortunately, any information regarding plans to open an In-N-Out Burger in Georgia is inaccurate. Although we do not currently have any plans to open a restaurant there, we do know it’s a wonderful state,” Abbate said in a statement.
