According to WABI, 56-year-old Gary Roshto, alongside 35-year-old Kevin Bowley, allegedly invaded a Corinth home, with Roshto accused of pushing the resident to the ground and stealing her jewelry. The victim, quick-witted in distress, noted their license plate and called 911 at approximately 4:00 p.m. This detail sparked a series of events that led to the confrontation with law enforcement.
The chase commenced after a Fire Marshal investigator sighted the suspects' vehicle and endeavored to pull it over. The attempt, however, was met with defiance, as the vehicle accelerated rather than yielding, launching the police into an impromptu pursuit. According to NBC Boston, this reckless escape led them through Charleston, and Atkinson only to conclude with a crash at the intersection of Range Road and East Dover Road in Dover-Foxcroft.
In the chaotic aftermath of the wreck, two male suspects fled into the woods, leaving behind their injured female accomplice. The subsequent manhunt brought the escapees, Roshto and Bowley, back into custody. Roshto now faces charges of robbery and eluding police, while Bowley, who suffered non-life-threatening injuries, was issued a summons for robbery. Their accomplice, 52-year-old Cynthia Williams, also incurred injuries from the crash and is expected to be issued a summons at a later date.
