
A man is fighting for his life after a hit-and-run incident in Monroe, as local authorities continue searching for the driver responsible. The Monroe Police Department confirmed that an officer discovered the victim around 7:30 a.m. this morning, lying in the median of the 2200 block of W. Roosevelt Road. According to QC News, the man was struck by a vehicle that fled the scene, leaving him in critical condition.
The incident occurred near Monroe Crossing Mall at the intersection with Dickerson Boulevard, a detail provided by WCNC. The victim was rushed to a Charlotte-area hospital for treatment of his injuries. As of now, the Monroe Police have not made any arrests nor have detectives released specifics regarding an a suspect at this time.
