
A man tragically lost his life earlier today after being found with a gunshot wound inside a vehicle in Hollywood, as reported by authorities. The incident occurred on the 2200 block of Douglas Street, where the man was discovered at approximately 1:40 a.m., as NBC Miami reported. He was promptly transported to Memorial Regional Hospital by Hollywood Fire Rescue, but despite emergency treatment efforts, he "succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased by hospital staff," according to the police.
Local 10 further detailed the aftermath of the shooting, noting that the man was in the J.A. Ely Boulevard area when found. Hollywood police have since launched a homicide investigation into the incident, and no suspect information has been released at this time.
