
A man is clinging to life following a shooting incident in Chicago's Little Village neighborhood, as reported on Sunday evening. The victim, a 41-year-old male, was discovered with a gunshot wound to the head in an alley located on the 4100 block of West 27th Street, detailed Chicago Sun-Times. The shooting occurred at around 5:35 p.m., according to official statements from local law enforcement.
Officers reported that a vehicle approached the man in the alley before an assailant inside discharged multiple rounds in his direction. The man was subsequently rushed to Mount Sinai Hospital where he is currently being treated for the life-threatening injuries sustained. As efforts continue to save his life, the Chicago Police Department has yet to arrest in connection to the brutal attack, and the search for the shooter still advances, with investigators soliciting tips from the public.
