In the video, the two were seen mounting the Metrorail, and the mystery of how they managed such a feat without detection, by officials or security systems meant to prevent such actions remains unanswered. Following the incident's virality, Miami-Dade County was quick to issue a public condemnation, "Entering the Metrorail Guideway and climbing on top of vehicles is not only illegal and can lead to arrest and prosecution, but extremely dangerous and can result in death and the injury of others. Please, under no circumstances, enter the track area or climb on top of vehicles. Safety is a shared responsibility and we ask all riders to say something if they see something. Thank you." The county's statement, which also highlighted the collective responsibility for safety, was retrieved from NBC Miami's coverage of the ordeal.
Despite the clear video evidence, it seems that no arrests have been made thus far.
