Miami-Dade will observe Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day on Monday next week with Miami-Dade County offices closed for the day. However, the Department of Transportation and Public Works (DTPW) will provide regular weekday service for Metrorail, Metromover, and all bus routes. DTPW’s administrative, Customer Service, and Special Transportation (STS) offices will be closed, but STS services can still be accessed for reservations and cancellations by calling 305-871-1111.
According to the Miami-Dade County release, for those traveling on MLK Day, DTPW ensures convenience with fare management. Riders can reload or purchase an EASY Card at the Transit Store, the Go-Miami Dade App, or other apps, with contactless payments still available at fare boxes.
Golden Passport EASY Card holders can handle applications and lost item reports online, with a Lost and Found portal for those seeking lost belongings.
DTPW encourages riders to stay updated by signing up for alerts at miamidade.gov/alerts or by following DTPW on Facebook, X, and Instagram. Mobility 305 offers a monthly newsletter with the latest news and updates. For more details, visit DTPW’s official statement.
