A mobile home in Millington was gutted by a fire today, leaving its inhabitants without shelter but luckily without physical harm. The blaze caught the attention of the Millington and Shelby County Fire Departments shortly after midnight, a crucial response that saw the fire contained within about 20 minutes, as reported by Action News 5.
At the time of the incident, there were three individuals present in the trailer, all of whom managed to escape unscathed. "Three people were in the trailer, but they were able to escape," said the City of Millington, this sentiment was echoed by Action News 5.
While the mobile home succumbed to the flames and efforts continue to understand what unfolded on Cloverhaven Drive, details about the origin of the fire remain scant. Both the Millington and Shelby County fire departments are undertaking an investigation.
