Two men were arrested after a detailed operation by local detectives, targeting a fentanyl distribution network. The New Bedford Police Department executed a search warrant at 192 Belleville Road APT. #1E on Monday, leading to the bust.
During a raid, detectives seized 141.6 grams of cocaine, 4.9 grams of fentanyl, two 9mm pistols, ammunition, a digital scale, narcotics packaging, and a calibration weight. They also confiscated $1,701 in cash from the premises, as reported by the New Bedford Police Department.
According to the New Bedford Police Department on their Facebook page, Alexander Sears, 39, and Jose Lacen, 25, were arrested on drug and firearm charges. Lacen faces trafficking cocaine and weapons charges, while Sears is charged with drug distribution. Det. Nathan Almeida led the arrests.
