
On Monday night in Reading, Massachusetts, a New Hampshire man was detained by police for multiple offenses, including driving under the influence of drugs. Around 10:15 p.m., officers observed a vehicle stopped in the middle of the road at 757 Main St., which then continued driving in an unusual manner. The officers activated their emergency lights and conducted a traffic stop, as reported by the Reading Massachusetts Police Department.
Officers observed that Devlin had pinpointed pupils and struggled to maintain his balance after exiting the vehicle. He was seen reaching into the back of the vehicle while holding an unknown object. After conducting field sobriety tests, officers arrested him on suspicion of drug impairment. Suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty, as stated by the Reading Massachusetts Police Department.
According to the Reading Massachusetts Police Department on their Facebook page, Devlin was arrested after police found heroin, a needle, and Suboxone in his vehicle. He faces charges of possession of a Class A and Class E substance, OUI drug, and a marked lanes violation. Devlin was arraigned on Tuesday in Woburn District Court.
