
An early morning altercation in Antioch escalated into a deadly shooting between individuals in two vehicles, as reported by the Metro Nashville Police Department. According to WSMV, officers were called to the scene just before 1 a.m. today at a strip mall located at 833 Hamilton Crossings. They discovered bullet casings in the parking lot, but no victim was present at the scene.
Later, the victim was transported in a personal vehicle to Tri-Star Century Farms Emergency Room, where he died. As the car that dropped off the victim left the emergency room, the authorities are still in search of information about the vehicles involved, which had both left the scene after the incident took place. MNPD is turning to surveillance video in the hopes of uncovering further details regarding the fatal event. Driving off from the scene, MNPD said, "Investigators determined that two vehicles were involved in the shooting," without yet releasing any descriptions of the vehicles, as per WSMV,
In a similar account, WKRN confirmed the shooting and noted that the man was found deceased in his vehicle at the emergency room, indicating that he had been shot while inside his car. Metro police believe that this was a targeted shooting, although they have yet to release additional information about the suspect or motives behind the attack as the investigation remains ongoing.
Further reporting by FOX 17 highlights that the strip mall where the shooting took place accommodates several businesses, including the Sky Bar and Lounge, Antioch's Deli, and Domino's Pizza.
