
Early morning commuters on northbound Interstate 95 experienced significant delays due to a rollover crash near Oakland Park Boulevard in Broward County. As NBC Miami reported, the incident took place around 6 a.m. today and involved multiple vehicles, with at least one car overturning and landing on its roof.
Emergency crews responded to the scene, and aerial footage showed an overturned vehicle and heavy traffic as lanes were closed. The Florida Highway Patrol said there might be fatalities linked to the crash.
According to WSVN, at least one person was confirmed dead as a result of the collision. The express lanes remained closed, and vehicles were being diverted at Oakland Park Boulevard, with northbound express lanes closed up to Cypress Creek Road. Commuters were advised to take alternative routes, such as the Dixie Highway, Route 441, and Federal Highway. The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
