
A Salem man is facing charges after authorities say he posed as a minor on social media platforms in an attempt to meet teenage girls, according to the Salem police, Jeramey Braman, 24, was arrested on Tuesday following a tip-off to detectives about his activities on the internet.
As per reports from KOIN, the investigation into Braman's social media use reveals he used Snapchat and Instagram with several usernames including "lil J," "jbraman0," and "yaboylilj," officials are now urging the public to come forward with any relevant information that may assist in locating more victims, Braman's social media presence and these usernames become the center of the search for additional people who might have been contacted by him under the guise of a minor.
According to KATU, Braman is described as being 5-foot 2-inches tall with a slender build, possessing brown hair and brown eyes, and is known to drive newer model white sedans, this physical description is being shared to help the public identify the accused and to encourage anyone with similar experiences involving Braman to come forward.
Salem police's Detective Cort Kirksey is heading the inquiry, and authorities are appealing for anyone who has had similar incidents or has any information that could be pertinent to Braman's case to reach out, calls should go to Detective Kirksey at 503-540-2418, the police have intensified their search believing that there may be more individuals out there who might have fallen prey to Braman's deceptive online persona.
