Law enforcement in Florida is asking for the public's assistance in locating Carmen Fichera, an 83-year-old man who went missing from Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport. Fichera, who has been reported to be suffering from dementia, was last seen around 3 p.m. last Saturday, according to the Broward Sheriff’s Office, as WSVN reported.
Fichera is described as standing 5 feet, 3 inches tall and weighing around 140 pounds. He has gray hair, brown eyes, and was last seen wearing a consistent scheme of all black: a jacket, pants, shoes, and a hat. This information, has come to light thanks to the efforts of detectives seeking the public's help in piecing together Fichera's last known whereabouts. The family has emphasized his condition, providing more context for the urgency surrounding his disappearance, as noted in a Boca Post article.
The Broward Sheriff's Office has dispatched its Missing Persons Unit detectives in the active search and is reaching out to anyone who might have seen Fichera or has information that could lead to his location.
