Community members in and around San Diego County are alert following a Silver Alert issued for an at-risk senior by the California Highway Patrol (CHP). According to CHP Alerts, Tony Hoang, 81, was last seen on Tuesday near Espola Road and Martincoit Road in Poway.

Mr. Hoang is described as standing at approximately 5'5", weighing about 146 pounds, with gray hair and brown eyes. His last known outfit includes a red hat, black jacket, and black pants. In an effort to widely circulate Mr. Hoang's description, authorities are urging the public to be keenly on the lookout for a 2017 gray Nissan Kick with California license plate 8MQV617, which Hoang is believed to have initially driven when he went missing.

The CHP activated the Silver Alert on behalf of the San Diego County Sheriff's Office. The CHP and local law enforcement agencies consider the situation urgent and ask anyone who might have seen Hoang or have information about his whereabouts to call 9-1-1 immediately.
