Thompson's Station is bracing for a new wave of retail therapy. Simon Property Group announced that it's bringing a luxury outlet mall to the intersection of Interstate 65 and Interstate 840. In partnership with AJ Capital Partners, Simon is shaping up to add an opulent touch to Williamson County's shopping landscape. As the development is named, Nashville Premium Outlets is poised to unfurl a tapestry of approximately 75 retailers, various dining options, and a hotel, according to WSMV.
With the first brick yet to be laid, anticipated for 2026, this 325,000 square foot mixed-use center could transform Thompson's Station, already drawing praise from local officials for its potential to strengthen the economy, create jobs, and enhance amenities while there's also potential for adding residential spaces and big-box retailers, plans are still in the formative stage, and Simon has reached out to the community for input, as reported by WKRN.
"This project represents a significant investment in our Town and has the potential to enhance local amenities, create jobs, and strengthen our economy," Mayor Brian Stover stated, as per WKRN, expressing eagerness to align the development with the town's character and future vision. Simon, revered for its shopping destinations like Woodbury Common Premium Outlets and Desert Hills Premium Outlets, reiterates its excitement through Gary Duncan, Simon's President of Premium Outlets and The Mills, who envisions the Nashville Premium Outlets as a premier shopping and lifestyle hub and, as per WSMV, lauded Nashville as one of America's most dynamic and fastest-growing markets.
