Over the weekend, a coordinated operation by the Drug Control Unit in South Boston led to the arrest of a man in Dorchester. He was found with illegal items as law enforcement continues to address neighborhood crime, as stated by the Boston Police Department.
Last Saturday morning, Tyrone Turner, 40, was arrested near 70 Bowdoin Street after a police search. Officers found crack cocaine, drug paraphernalia, a .22 Long Rifle, ammunition, a Glock lower receiver, and $272 in cash, as reported by the Boston Police Department.
At around 11:15 AM, Turner was arrested following a search and seizure operation. He faces charges including Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, and drug-related offenses. During the search, police recovered fifteen bags of crack cocaine, drug packaging materials, and a scale, indicating potential intent to distribute. Turner is scheduled for arraignment in Dorchester District Court, according to the Boston Police Department.
