Two men were hospitalized following a collision involving a stolen vehicle in Northwest Miami-Dade, authorities confirmed. The incident occurred near the intersection of Northwest 103rd Street and 22nd Avenue yesterday morning.

The ordeal began when a deputy from the Miami-Dade Sheriff's Office received a license plate reader alert about a stolen car speeding through Northwest 32nd Avenue and 62nd Street at approximately 10 a.m. The deputy promptly contacted the Aviation Unit of the MDSO to track the vehicle, which shortly thereafter was involved in an accident with a civilian's car, as detailed by a WSVN report.

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue units reached the scene and transported the two drivers to Jackson Memorial Hospital. According to both the WSVN coverage and a post from Crime Watch America's Instagram account, the individual operating the civilian vehicle was admitted to JMH's Ryder Trauma Center and is, along with the driver of the stolen vehicle, listed in stable condition.

Law enforcement officials were able to recover the involved stolen vehicle. The handling deputies from the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office are currently conducting a thorough investigation of the traffic crash.
