The search is intensifying for Erin Nicole Thornton, a 37-year-old woman reported missing from Fairview, Oregon. Thornton, who suffers from severe medical conditions and mental health issues that critically impact her memory and mobility, has been out of contact since December 29, 2024, and is without her essential medications, as detailed in a recent press release from the Multnomah County Sheriff's Office.
Authorities are now actively seeking assistance from the community to trace Thornton's whereabouts. She last made contact with her partner, whom she informed of her intent to return home but admitted to not knowing her current location. Last Wednesday, a cell phone ping indicated that Thornton's phone was located within a two-mile radius of the Battle Ground Walmart in Washington, an area where she has no known connections.
Described as a white female, standing 5’6”, weighing 269 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes, Thornton was last seen wearing a red Columbia Sportswear top, a Pendleton-style sweater, and blue jeans. The Sheriff's Office highlights the urgency of the situation, emphasizing Thornton's vulnerability due to her health issues, including severe seizures.
The public is urged to be on the lookout for Thornton and to contact authorities immediately upon sighting her. "If you see Erin, please call 911 immediately," the Sheriff's Office stated.
