
Watertown Police officers made a routine traffic stop that led to the arrest of 19-year-old Isaiah Louissaint from Waltham. A social media post from the department praised the officers for their quick action in keeping the community safe, as reported by the Watertown Police Department.
On Wednesday evening, Officers Civetti, Martino, St. Onge, Parent, and Sgt. Vaughan made a quick discovery during a traffic stop, finding a stolen firearm hidden by Mr. Louissaint. This led to his arrest, and a search of his vehicle also uncovered ammunition. "Thanks to their quick thinking and decisive action, the suspect was safely apprehended, and the firearm was securely recovered," the Watertown Police Department stated.
According to the Watertown Police Department on their Facebook page, Mr. Louissaint was arrested and arraigned at Waltham District Court, where he was deemed dangerous and held on bail. The department stated that the operation "highlights the dedication and skill of our officers in protecting the community" and emphasized their ongoing commitment to public safety.
