A West Peoria man, identified as Quentrell Walker, was detained last Friday in connection with a burglary at the new West Peoria City Hall construction site. The crime reportedly involved stolen tools and equipment, with the initial value of the missing items estimated between $5,000 and $7,000. Walker, a 29-year-old local, has faced the law on multiple occasions, marking this as his 10th arrest since June 2024, according to details from a 25News report.

Upon investigation by the Peoria County Detectives, the incident linked back to Walker who had reportedly been involved in several other residential burglaries in the area. The site manager, Toby Dietrich, with Peoria Metro Construction, noticed the missing items which included a tool bag, Milwaukee brand batteries, and a charging station, "25News" detailed. Surveillance footage from the scene showed suspicious activity involving an unidentified person and a woman on a tricycle around the site at approximately 11 p.m. Thursday night.

In a related development, authorities also took into custody 41-year-old Antone Drillon of Peoria, reported by Central Illinois Proud, who is now facing charges for possession of stolen property. The arrest was a result of a tip that linked stolen items to a "Tony", presumed to be Drillon. When deputies visited Drillon's residence, they discovered a trove of items that matched the description of the stolen property, including the aforementioned tool bag, batteries, and a concrete saw.

Peoria County Sheriff Chris Watkins underscored the repetitive nature of Walker's run-ins with law enforcement, stating, "He was most recently arrested on Jan. 7 for allegedly breaking into several homes in the West Peoria area." Meanwhile, both men were given notices to appear in court and are not currently in custody.
