
In a tragic turn of events on S. Ocean Blvd in Delray Beach, a 71-year-old woman lost her life in a fatal pedestrian incident involving two vehicles. As reported by the City of Delray Beach, the accident occurred on Wednesday night.
The Delray Beach Police Department disclosed that at about 8:21 p.m., the woman was struck while stopped between the northbound and southbound lanes of 2000 S. Ocean Blvd. Despite immediate responses from both drivers, who remained at the scene and cooperated with law enforcement, the pedestrian was pronounced deceased shortly upon their arrival. The road was subsequently closed in both directions for a period.
