Following a disturbance at a Santa Clara motel earlier this month, police have arrested an armed suspect after they say he fired a shot into one of the motel's rooms. The incident occurred last Monday at 7:50 a.m. on the 2000 block of El Camino Real. Authorities reported that the suspect caused a commotion before discharging a firearm, although no injuries were reported from the scene. The suspect evaded the authorities but not for long.
Santa Clara detectives wasted no time commencing an investigation, leading them on a hunt that ended more than a hundred miles away. According to a social media post from Santa Clara Police, the suspect was identified and located in Merced, CA. On Tuesday, the detectives executed the arrest, bringing the suspect back to Santa Clara County, where he was booked into the Main Jail.
