Boca Raton residents and visitors can now enjoy an expanded downtown shuttle service that reaches the local beach. This change, effective immediately, extends the eco-friendly Circuit service as part of a 12-month pilot program aimed at improving mobility, particularly around key locations like the Brightline station. The service is praised for its quiet, all-electric fleet, promoting sustainable transit.

According to the City of Boca Raton announcement, the service area for BocaConnect has expanded, now covering south of Glades Road, east of I-95, north of the Hillsboro Canal, and extending to the Barrier Island region. It now spans from the Gumbo Limbo Nature Center to the Boca Raton Inlet, offering a transport solution for beachgoers along this popular stretch.

BocaConnect continues to be affordable, offering free rides within the RED service area. For trips that start or end in the BLUE service area, there is a small fee of $2.00 per rider, with an additional $1.00 for each extra rider, up to a maximum of $5.00 for a one-way trip.

Wait times for shuttles are aimed to be under 10 minutes after a ride is requested through the Circuit App, which is available on iOS and Android platforms. The app provides real-time updates, making it easy to request rides and navigate Boca Raton’s transport system.
