
On Wednesday afternoon, the quiet of Roslindale was disturbed by an audacious carjacking that occurred following an Uber Eats delivery. According to the Boston Police Department, officers received a report of the incident at approximately 4:29 PM, where they learned two ski-masked individuals had robbed the victim of his vehicle, with one suspect reportedly armed.
The stolen vehicle was later found behind 237 Cummins Highway and subsequently towed for further investigation. Following the incident, Boston Police Department released descriptions of the suspects involved. Later that evening, at around 8:10 PM, law enforcement spotted three individuals whose appearance matched the suspects', on Cummings Highway and Hyde Park Avenue. In the ensuing developments, one suspect fled on foot, prompting a pursuit, during which he appeared to clasp his waistband.
Boston Police Department were successful in apprehending the individual, a 15-year-old juvenile male, in the vicinity of 237 Cumming Highway. A search of the area led to the discovery of a discarded firearm, identified as a Ghost Gun complete with a laser sight attachment, and equipped with live ammunition. The juvenile has been charged with several firearm-related offenses and is expected to face arraignment in Boston Juvenile Court.
Meanwhile, officers managed to apprehend the remaining two suspects, Ronnie Perry, 18, of Dorchester, and Wilfredo Suarez-Rosario, 22, also from Dorchester, Perry has been charged with carjacking, leaving the scene of property damage, and unlicensed operation while Suarez-Rosario is facing a carjacking charge. Both will face legal proceedings in the West Roxbury District Court, as per the Boston Police Department.
