
The Boston Police Department is actively seeking information to identify a suspect involved in an unarmed carjacking in Roxbury. The incident reportedly occurred last Saturday around 2:08 p.m. near 225 Dudley Street, according to a community alert issued by the BPD.
Details provided by the police describe the suspect as a Black male, believed to be 19-20 years old, who was last seen wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, green puffy vest, and gray sweatpants. The suspect is said to have attempted to forcibly gain entry into a vehicle that had the victim’s children inside before choosing to hastily flee through the backyards of Greenville Street. Surveillance footage captured the individual approaching the scene from Zeigler Street prior to the attempted carjacking.
The BPD is urging the community to come forward with any information that might assist in the case. They have provided a contact for District B-2 Detectives at (617) 343-4275 for those who can provide insights that could lead to identifying the suspect.
