
Broward County government offices will be closed on Monday next week for Presidents' Day. Some services will remain available, including the 311 Call Center, which will be closed, but others like the Homeless Helpline (10 AM to 2 PM at 954-563-4357) will still be operating.
According to the Broward County release, all Broward County Library branches will be closed, except Nova Southeastern University's Alvin Sherman Library. Online services such as eBooks and classes can still be accessed through Broward.org/Library. County parks will remain open, though some facilities like Carpenter House and Deerfield Island Park will be closed.
Broward County Transit will follow a regular weekday schedule, with customer service available starting at 6:00 AM at 954-357-8400 (TTY 954-357-8302). For animal care emergencies, call 911 or 954-359-1313 for non-urgent matters.
At Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, operations will continue at all terminals. A 24-hour helpline is available at 954-359-6100. Port Everglades will maintain its marine services.
The Office of the Medical Examiner and Trauma Services will remain available by calling 954-357-5200. The Broward Addiction Recovery Center will accept walk-ins until 6 PM and pre-scheduled assessments. Detox and admissions will be open.
The Nancy J. Cotterman Center will continue to accept calls to their Crisis Unit and Child Protection Team at 954-357-5778, as well as the helpline at 954-761-7273 (TTY 954-765-4195).
Curbside trash and recycling collection will proceed as usual for those in the Broward Municipal Services District. The Broward County Landfill will be closed on Presidents' Day and will reopen on Tusday next week from 8 AM to 4 PM.
