
The Gwinnett County Police Department has apprehended Samuel Norman, a 26-year-old Buford resident, in connection with an armed robbery at a local business. The incident, which took place on January 27 on the 2600 block of Buford Drive, prompted a response from officers after the victim reported that Norman demanded cash at gunpoint before fleeing the site, according to the Gwinnett County.
Despite an immediate search, initial efforts to locate Norman were unsuccessful. It was during a canvass that a detective spotted Norman leaving a residence on Tuesday, as reported by the Gwinnett County.
Upon identification, law enforcement moved in to detain him. According to details provided by Gwinnett County's official news release, Norman is now facing charges for Armed Robbery, Aggravated Assault, and Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony. He is held at the Gwinnett County Jail pending further legal action.
